The Department of State Services, DSS, has released the international passport of the President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero.

Some labour leaders, who confided in Daily Trust on Tuesday in Abuja, said the secret police did not find anything incriminating against Ajaero.

It was reported that the DSS bowed to pressure from various quarters on Monday when it released the labour leader on bail a few minutes to the ultimatum given by the NLC.

The NLC had given the DSS before 12am on Tuesday to release the detained President.

Ajaero was arrested on Monday morning by the secret police on his way to United Kingdom for official duty.
