Breaking: Tinubu wins Ogun, Oyo in landslide victory

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the Saturday’s election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has defeated all his co-contenders in all Ogun and Oyo States.

Tinubu defeated both the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who came distant second; and Peter Obi of Labour Party who came distant third in the two states.

In Ogun, while Tinubu garnered a total of 341, 554 to win the state, Atiku scored 123, 831, with Obi coming third with 85, 829.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode Oyebode Adebowale is the state collation officer of the election in the State.

The Labour Party, in some of the local governments, came second behind the APC.

Tinubu also won Oyo State with a total votes of 231, 521, representing 61% of the total votes cast, while Atiku garnered 102, 529 votes representing 27% of total vote cast. Obi scored 42, 216 votes representing 11% of total vote cast in the State.
