2027: Ogun Assembly Hopeful Urges Residents to Collect PVCs, Reject Vote Buying
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Assembly aspirant for Abeokuta South Constituency II, Hon. Adeoye Adewale Adeniran, popularly known as A3, has urged residents of Ogun State to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and actively participate in the 2027 general elections.
Adeniran described the PVC as the most important instrument citizens possess to shape the country's future, stressing that democracy can only thrive when eligible voters participate in the electoral process.
Speaking with constituents in Abeokuta, the PDP chieftain cautioned residents against selling their votes or PVCs to politicians in exchange for money or other inducements during the election period.
According to him, vote buying poses a serious threat to democracy and undermines the people's ability to elect credible leaders.
“When you sell your PVC, you are selling your future, the future of your children, and the future of Ogun State. No amount of money can replace good governance,” he said.
Adeniran also called on Nigerians, particularly Ogun residents, to maintain confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the country's electoral process.
He expressed the belief that credible elections are achievable if voters turn out in large numbers, protect their votes and resist electoral malpractice.
The assembly hopeful expressed optimism about the PDP's chances in the 2027 elections, saying the party was intensifying grassroots mobilisation and strengthening its structures across the state.
“We are mobilizing, we are organizing, and we are ready. By 2027, the people of Ogun State will choose progress, transparency and people-centred leadership,” he stated.
