Former Governor of Ogun State and Senator representing Ogun Central at the National Assembly, Ibikunle Amosun has described the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as a tested democrat.

This was contained in a congratulatory message of the former Governor on the victory of Tinubu as the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the 2023 general elections.

In a statement released in Abuja this afternoon, and signed by Bola Adeyemi, Senator Amosun described Asiwaju Tinubu as a tested democrat who will bring his experience to bear on the governance of the country.

He expressed the conviction that with Tinubu’s  sterling record as governor of Lagos State, he was convinced that Tinubu would offer a leadership that will not only consolidate democracy gains in the country but that which would also offer better life to Nigerians.

Senator Amosun wishes Asiwaju Tinubu success in the general election.

Amosun was one of the seven presidential aspirants who withdrawn their aspiration in support of the former Lagos State Governor at the primaries on Tuesday.

Tinubu will slug it out with the like of Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; Rabiu Kwakwanso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, amongst others.
