The Federal Government has said that the worst is over on insecurity in the country, boasting that terrorists and bandits can only run but cannot hide.
It said never again will terrorists and bandits and their cohorts hold sway in the country, but cautioning that the nation may still witness isolated cases of challenges but no more on the high scale of the past.
It ruled out cessation of hostilities against Boko Haram, bandits, kidnappers and oil theft syndicates.
These declarations were made during the joint briefing by four ministers and the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Leo Irabor, in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The Ministers were Lai Mohammed of the Information ministry; Maj-Gen. Bashir Magashi of the Defence; Rauf Aregbesola of ministry of Interior; and Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi of police affairs.
