Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, has deleted Napoli-related posts from his Instagram page following a controversial video mocking the striker.
The club had posted and subsequently deleted a TikTok video "mocking" Osimhen for missing a crucial penalty for the club.
Osimhen could also take legal action against Napoli after the Italian club posted the video on their official TikTok, according to the player’s agent, Roberto Calenda.
Calenda in a statement released on Tuesday described the video as unacceptable.
The statement read, “What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.
“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news.
“We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.”
