One of the major symptoms of Social Anxiety disorder is “Excessive Talking”.  This happens when one is afraid of saying the wrong thing or being judged by others, but ends up talking more than necessary in an attempt to make up for his anxiety and internal struggle to quiet his racing mind. Such is the case of the Lagos Senator trying to become the Senator representing Ogun West given his utterances when he came visiting Ipokia Local Government this week.

I find it disturbing and surprising at the same time that Senator Olalmilekan Solomon (YAYI) despite having spent over 20 years holding elective political offices as Lagos Lawmaker and National Assembly Member on the slot of Lagos State (before the idea of porting), still finds it comfortable at that level to make unfounded allegations and tell outright lies that he would neither prove nor show evidences for even in the public.

The Senator was caught making promises that are clearly outside the purview of a legislator and thus, the insult on the intelligence of our people continues!

Senator Adeola’s attempt at playing politics with the border closure of 2019 and the suspension of fuel supply to stations within 20KM to the borders, is the height of insensitivity and lack of sympathy to the plight of our people for anyone who really understands the level of hardship that these policies inflicted on our people.

Is it not an elaboration of the obvious to say that no Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has such powers and mandate to re-open the land borders? But our Bulaba School of politics Senator is promising this. Yahoo Yahoo politicking at its best!

Unfortunately, the rented crowds migrating everywhere with the Senator like nomads are making it look like their applauds are a validation for those utterances, but time will tell!

If Senator YAYI really has the powers to negotiate the re-opening of Idiroko Border and the lifting of the 20KM ban, why has he not done that for the Seme/Badagry people of the Lagos West Senatorial District where he is currently serving?

Haba!!! Ipokia people are not fools sir.

Another statement of the Senator that caught my attention was that the deputy governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade (Tripple A) is a betrayer. Really?

How can someone who claims to be an Ogun Westerner but bequeathed all of his structure and political machinery to Prince Dapo Abiodun in 2019 (immediately he was denied the senate ticket by Senator Ibikunle Amosun) just to make DA stronger than his own brothers, Gboyega Nasiru Isiaka and Triple A, who were also contesting same office, now turn around to say he is the saint while his brothers are the betrayers? Too much gut you will say!

He alleged that Triple A collected 150 million Naira, a Toyota Land Cruiser and a Toyota Hilux to become the Deputy Governorship candidate of Hon. Ladi Adebutu, but the question really is ‘where are these materials?’. Where is the Toyota Hilux? Where and when was the 150 million paid and collected? At least some proofs of payment should be provided to substantiate such erroneous claim.

The same Toyota Hilux that Triple A has been driving since his days in the National Assembly is what our Lagos Senator is referring to as a bribe from the Adebutus, just because he has to say something to tarnish the image of Triple A within Ipokia local government. The game is ‘destroy Triple A from his base’, But nobody can destroy God's anointed!

The Lagos Senator also alleged that the Adebutus are funding the campaigns with money made from Lotto (which is a recognized business by the Nigerian government anyways) but the question is which business entity is bankrolling Yayi’s bogus campaign? ill-gotten commonwealth?

Until and only when the Senator is able to tell us the result of his effort towards the re-opening of Seme Border in his Lagos West Senatorial District, until he tells us how many Fuel Stations he has been able to re-open for them in that area and until he shows proves of the allegations he leveled against Triple A, the charade of a campaign by the fence jumping senator will remain a big scam to be very weary of!

On Ipokia Local Government, No Deal!
