With a focus on promoting integrity-driven innovation and ethical enterprise in today’s challenging business climate, the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta Muslim Alumni (MAPAMA) is set to host its 2025 National Convention.

The two-day event, themed “Entrepreneurship in Action: Building Ethical Enterprises in Uncertain Times,” will take place between Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16, 2025 (Jumadal Al-Awwal 25–26, 1447 AH), at the Responsible Leaders Hotel, Central Business District, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State.

According to a press statement issued on Friday by the Media, Mobilization, Publicity and Publication Committee (MMPPC) of the Convention, the grand session will feature an impressive lineup of distinguished personalities, including the Senator representing Ogun Central, Shuaib Afolabi Salis; Chairman of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG), Alhaji Niyi Yusuf; and Dr. Ahmed ‘Tunde Popoola, a renowned business and financial expert.

Also expected at the event are the Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Arc. Dr. Babatunde Adekoyejo Jolaoso, and the Chairman of MAPAMA Board of Trustees (BoT) and former MAPOLY Rector, Tpl. Waheed Kadiri, among several other notable alumni and professionals.

The statement, signed by Sulaiman Fasasi on behalf of the MMPPC Chairman, Tajudeen Balogun, revealed that the grand session, scheduled for Sunday, November 16, will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be chaired by Dr. Popoola, the Managing Director of CRC Credit Bureau Limited, Lagos.

A lecture on the theme of the convention will be delivered by Alhaji Niyi Yusuf, while the Keynote Speech will be presented by Senator Salis.

The Convention, the statement added, aims to strengthen alumni bonds, foster intellectual exchange, and stimulate conversations on value-based leadership and innovation-driven growth.

“The meeting is not just about reunion, but also about redefining the collective contribution of MAPAMA members to national development through integrity, innovation, and enterprise,” the statement noted.

The two-day event, according to the organizers, promises to be resourceful, engaging, and impactful, bringing together professionals, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and members of sister organizations for a weekend of learning, networking, and shared purpose.
