Lionel Messi’s Argentina National Football team has secured its place in the finals of the ongoing World Cup in Qatar after defeating Croatia 3:0 in the first semi final game played at the Lusail Stadium.

The 7 Ballon d’Or winner and Argentina Captain, led the onslaught against the 2018 edition finalists with a goal from the spot at the 34th minutes.

Co-striker, Julian Alvarez doubled the lead at the 39th minute, going into the second half with a two zero lead.

The former Barcelona striker also provided an assist for Alverez to slot in the third goal at the 69th minute.

Argentina will now be playing in the 6th World Cup after its was introduced in 1930.

The Argentina team will now play the winner of the second semi final between France and the only African team to have reached that stage in history, Morocco.
