Professor Adewals Musa-Olomu, the Medical Director of Federal Medical Center, FMC, Abeokuta, has emerged the most outstanding Chief Medical Director of FMCs in Nigeria.

The award was presented to Musa-Olomu during the official investiture at the first African Health and Medical Services Awards Nigeri, held at the National Merit Award house in Abuja. 

The event was organised by African Stride International Media and Center for Policy Research and African Development Studies, with the theme, ‘Renewing Hope in the Nigerian Health Sector.’

The colourful event was attended by creme de la creme of the Medical Profession in Nigeria.

Presenting the award plaque to Musa-Olomu, the Chairman of the occasion who is also the Executive Director, TETFUND, Arc Sonny Echono, lauded the unprecedented achievements of the Medical Director in the Centre since assumption of office.

He described the Medical Director as a man of courage and vision "who by all standards merit the award."

Honoured along with the Medical Director was the Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo and a former President of the Nigeria Medical Association, Prof. Innocent A.O. Ujah

Highlight of the occasion was the official launch and presentation to the public the latest publication of the African International Magazine.
