Presidential Election: Tinubu wins in Ekiti

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, winner of the presidential election in Ekiti State.

Tinubu polled a total of 201, 494 to beat his closest contender, Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar who scored 87, 554 while Labour Party's flag bearer, Peter Obi polled, 11, 397.

Prof Akeem Olawale Lasisi, the State Presidential Collation Officer presented the result in company of the State Resident Electoral Commissioner Prof Ayobami Salami.

He said results for two units in Ado Ekiti LGA with 1, 786 registered voters, Ward 4 polling unit 7, and Ekiti East LGA Ward 7 polling unit 6 were cancelled for bypass of BVAS and over voting respectively.
