The spokesperson of the Nigerian Police Force, Muyiwa Adejobi, has disclosed that the police would be going after members of LBGTQ seen in the trending "Of Course" challenge, describing them as criminals.
Adejobi said this in response to a post showing alleged members of the LBGTQ describing who they are and what people think of them.
Quoting the video and tagging the Force Public Relations Officer, a user of X identified as #iamking_yusuf wrote: "una no update us say LGBTQ is now legal in Naija 🇳🇬 o. Buh no shaking, all of us go well last last."
Replying to the message, Adejobi wrote: "They are criminal and punishable under the law. We are on this clip to take necessary action according to the provisions of the law in Nigeria. These are unnatural offences and are totally condemned. Thanks"
