Another appointee of the former governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, Dr Doyin Odebowale has resigned from his position.
Odebowale was the Senior special Assistant, Special Duties and Strategy to the late governor Akeredolu.
According to a letter dated 27th December, 2023 addressed to the Secretary to the State Government, Odebowale did not state the reason for his resignation.
The letter reads, “I write to notify your office of my intention to resign my appointment as the Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties & Strategy to the Governor of Ondo State with immediate effect.
“I use this medium to thank the government and the people of Ondo State for the rare privilege offered for service.”
Meanwhile, the newly sworn in governor Aiyedatiwa has announced the appointment of Ebenezer Adeniyan as the new Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
Smart Omodunbi has also been appointed as Special Assistant to the Governor, political affairs; and Abire Sunday Olugbenga as the Special Assistant to the Governor, New Media.
Also appointed were Motunrayo Oyedele as the Special Assistant to the Governor, photography and Dr Temitayo Iperepolu as the Special Assistant to the Governor, Domestic and Government House.
The announcement was contained in a press statement signed by the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Omojuwa Olusegun.
Former Governor Akeredolu lost his long battle to leukemia in the early hours of Wednesday at a German hospital.
