The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Yemi Cardoso, announced that the nation’s foreign reserves have exceeded $46 billion.

This statement was made during the opening of the Monetary Policy Department’s 20th anniversary colloquium in Abuja on Tuesday.

Mr. Cardoso noted that this marks the first time since 2018 that the country has reached such a level, which could cover more than 10 months’ worth of imports.
