Nigeria is set to make a bold mark on the global innovation stage as Techware Innovation Limited, operating under its robotics brand RobotKraftAfrica, leads Team Nigeria to the prestigious RobotChallenge World Championship 2025, taking place in Beijing, China from August 14–17, 2025.

RobotChallenge is one of the world’s largest and most respected robotics competitions, bringing together thousands of students, developers, and engineers from over 80 countries to compete in diverse events ranging from Mega Sumo to Humanoid Robotics, AI Tasks, Line Following, Drone Racing, and RC.CODE Programming Challenges in Python, Scratch, and C++.

Techware Innovation Takes the Lead

Techware Innovation Limited, through its national initiative RobotKraftAfrica, has been officially recognized by the international organizers as the country representative for Nigeria. The company has taken bold steps in mobilizing schools, tech hubs, and private sector support to ensure Nigerian talent is showcased on this global platform.

“This is more than just a competition,” said Olaniyan Adewale, Director of Techware Innovation. “It’s an opportunity for Nigeria to demonstrate its capacity in global tech and innovation. We’re not just attending; we’re building a national pipeline of young minds that can shape the future of AI, robotics, and industrial automation.”

Glisten International School Leads the Charge

Among the schools championing this effort is Glisten International Academy, Abuja, a pioneer in STEM education in Nigeria. Glisten is not only fielding one of the strongest teams for this year’s competition, but also actively preparing its students through rigorous robotics training and innovation labs. The school has become a beacon of excellence, inspiring other institutions across the country to invest in robotics and hands-on science education.

Call to Developers & Engineers

The upcoming RobotChallenge is not limited to school children. Software developers, robotics engineers, drone pilots, and makers are strongly encouraged to get involved.

“Nigeria has an untapped pool of technical talent in our universities, tech hubs, and developer communities,” said Olaniyan. “This competition is the perfect platform for local innovators to compete on a world-class stage, gain international recognition, and attract global collaboration.”

Through categories like Freestyle Innovation, Robot Bowling, Unknown Mission, and Combat Robotics, the challenge offers something for both hobbyists and professionals. Winning teams receive not only trophies but global visibility, international mentorship, and often invitations to elite robotics tournaments in Europe and Asia.

Support & National Recognition

The initiative is already gaining attention from key stakeholders in education, innovation, and government circles. Partnerships are being established with organizations like the Caliphate Startups and Technology Foundation, and more sponsors are being called upon to support Nigeria’s representation.

Delegates will also benefit from training, mentorship, and exposure to the latest robotic technologies as they prepare for Beijing.
