The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Saturday, was hospitalized following a leg injury sustained on his leg.

Both the VP and his Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the Vice President, Laolu Akande, in separate tweets on their verified handles, confirmed the incident.

Although, Akande did not specify the hospital where the Vice President is being treated, he however confirmed that Osinbajo was in the hospital for surgical procedure.

He said the injury was possibly sustained during a squash game.

According to him, the doctors would give an update late today.

“VP Osinbajo is in the hospital today for a surgical procedure on account of a recurrent pain in the leg possibly sustained from an injury while playing squash.

“His doctors would give an update of the treatment later today,” Akande tweeted.
