The Kano State House of Assembly has lost two of its members within an hour.

The deceased lawmakers are Hon. Aminu Saad Ungogo, who represented Ungogo Constituency, and Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji, who represented Kano Municipal Constituency.

Both of them died on Wednesday.

Ungogo’s death was announced by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s Special Adviser on Information, Ibrahim Adam.

“May Allah forgive Hon. Aminu Saad Ungogo, State Assembly Member representing Ungogo Constituency of Kano State,” Adam wrote on his verified Facebook page.

Barely an hour later, was the death of Daneji also confirmed by the Director of Media at the Kano Government House, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

In a post on his Facebook page, he wrote, “Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihirrajiun. Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji, member representing Kano Municipal at Kano State House of Assembly died today an hour after the death of his counterpart.”

Details surrounding the circumstances of their deaths were sketchy as of press time.
