The Rivers state house of assembly has commenced impeachment process against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Deputy, Ngozi Odu.

​​​​​​The Assembly issued a notice of “gross misconduct”, the first stage of impeachment process on the Governor and Deputy.

Martins Wachukwu, the special assistant on media to Martin Amaewhule, speaker of the Rivers assembly, revealed this to the media on Monday.

The Assembly specifically accussed the Governor of frustrating the implementation of the Supreme Court judgement on the Rivers State crisis.
