The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the receipt of a formal petition against Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, over alleged unruly behaviour that reportedly obstructed the safe operation of an aircraft.
The incident, according to the petition, occurred on August 5, 2025, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, and was said to be in violation of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, 2023.
The petition was written by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA)
Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement on Tuesday, said the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has directed the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Airport Command to launch a thorough investigation into the matter.
The police say the probe will focus on establishing the circumstances surrounding the incident and ensuring that justice is served in accordance with the law.
The statement further assured the public and stakeholders in the aviation sector of the Force’s commitment to safety, security, and strict compliance with aviation regulations, while pledging improved collaboration with relevant agencies to enhance aviation security.
