The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Mojisola Meranda has revealed that her full security details have not been restored contrary to the claim by the Lagos State Police Command.

The embattled Speaker, while speaking shortly after a court sitting of a Lagos State High Court on a matter brought against the Assembly by Mudasiru Obasa, the removed Speaker of the Assembly, confirmed that she doesn't have her full security details.

Meranda explained that instead of 18 security personnel including 12 policemen, four DSS officers and two anti-bomb squad, she only has three or four policemen.

When asked to confirm the restoration of her security details which was withdrawn earlier on Thursday, Meranda said, "Well, as you can see, I have my people here with me, and God is with me."

When pressed further to be specific about the status of her security details, she said, "well, I have three of four policemen, whereas, my normal convoy, my team is 12 policemen, four DSS and two anti-bomb, but as I have it this morning, I don't have that."

According to her, the removed Speaker is still a member of the House of Assembly, describing Obasa's return on Thursday as an invasion.

"He's still a member of the House of Assembly, he still has a right to come, but invasion and breaking into my office, that is really a big one."
