The Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta Muslim Alumni (MAPAMA) has described the appointment of one of its members, Alhaja Fatimah Oluwatoyin Jinadu, as the new Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) in Ogun State, as a fitting recognition of her competence and long-standing commitment to public service.

In a statement issued on Friday by the association’s Head of Media and Publicity Committee, Tajudeen Balogun, on behalf of MAPAMA’s President, Tpl. Abdul Rauf Oluwakemi Adebanjo, the group said Jinadu’s elevation was “well-deserving,” noting that her track record embodies excellence, discipline and accountability.

According to the statement, the Ogun State Government could not have made a better choice, considering Jinadu’s years of diligent service across various local government councils where she served as Internal Auditor, Treasurer and Director of Finance.

Her appointment, which took effect from September 30, 2025, confers on her the status of Accounting Officer, making her the first career officer in the state to occupy such a role at the local government level.

MAPAMA said Jinadu’s steady rise in the public service is underscored by her strong academic foundation and professional development.

She began her educational journey at Abeokuta Local Government Primary School, Ake-Adatan, before proceeding to Nawar-Udeen Grammar School, Obantoko, where she earned her WAEC General Certificate of Education.

Jinadu later obtained her National Diploma in Accountancy from the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, and followed up with a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from the then Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta.

The statement also highlighted her numerous qualifications, including an MBA from the University of Ado-Ekiti, a Postgraduate Diploma in Local Government Development Studies and Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, and her ongoing Master’s degree in Accounting at Fountain University, Osogbo.

She is also a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).

Describing her as a symbol of modesty, focus, and professional integrity, the alumni body congratulated her family, colleagues and associates, assuring her of its full support as she assumes the new responsibility.

The association further urged Jinadu to remain committed to excellence and to deliver outstanding results in her new role, while praying for God’s continued guidance, sound health and wisdom for her to succeed.
