The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has approved 140 and above as the national minimum cut-off mark for admissions into public universities in 2022.
The Board also approved 100 as minimum cut-off mark for admissions into Polytechnics and Collges of Education.
The Board reached the decision at the ongoing Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.
The Regisrar of the Board, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, announced the decision on the cut-off on Thursday.
According to Oloyede, every institution has the right to fix individual cut-off up to 220 but not below the approved marks.
He further explained that a total of 378, 639 out of the total 1, 761, 338 eho sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations, UTME scored 200 and above.
