A former member of the House of Representatives and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade, Triple A, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Musibau Obanla, describing him as a beacon of wisdom and a devoted community leader.
In a condolence statement issued on Saturday, Akinlade said Chief Obanla was a revered elder whose integrity, discipline, and principled leadership earned him respect across generations.
He noted that Obanla’s influence extended beyond his immediate community, adding that his guidance shaped many lives.
Akinlade highlighted the deceased’s long record of public service, including his roles as a member of the Ogun State Governor’s Advisory Council, former Chairman of the Ipokia Local Government Transition Committee, and a frontline APC leader in the area.
According to him, Chief Obanla dedicated his life to the progress and unity of his people.
He extended condolences to the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Avoseh Johnson Cornerstone, the APC family, and members of the Obanla family, describing the loss as “profound and irreplaceable.”
Akinlade prayed for the repose of Chief Obanla’s soul and for strength for the family and community to bear the loss.
