Hayat Trust Non-Interest Microfinance Bank Limited has been named the Islamic Microfinance Bank of the Year at the 7th African International Conference on Islamic Finance (AICIF) Awards, held at Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos.
The award recognizes the bank’s contribution to promoting ethical, interest-free financial services and fostering economic inclusion within Nigeria’s growing Islamic finance sector.
The AICIF Awards celebrate institutions and professionals that have demonstrated innovation, excellence, and impact in advancing Islamic finance across Africa.
In his remarks after receiving the award, the Managing Director of Hayat Trust NIMFB, Alhaji Musa Raheem Abiodun, expressed appreciation to the organizers and reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to expanding access to ethical financial services.
"We are deeply honored to receive this recognition. Our journey has been driven by service, trust, and the pursuit of financial dignity for all. We dedicate this award to our valued customers, dedicated staff, and the entire Al-Hayat Relief Foundation family.
“This achievement will further inspire us to strengthen our offerings and continue fostering halal economic growth,” Abiodun said.
Also present at the event were Dr. Asif Olatunbosun Azeez, Chairman, Advisory Committee of Experts, and Mr. Abdullah Oluwatosin, the Bank’s Shariah Compliance Officer.
Both emphasized the institution’s ongoing commitment to maintaining high standards of Shariah governance and ethical practice.
Hayat Trust NIMFB has over the years distinguished itself through its non-interest financing models, transparency, and support for micro and small-scale entrepreneurs.
The bank continues to promote financial inclusion and economic empowerment through its community-focused initiatives.
