Former Bauchi Deputy Governor Baba Tela Loses Two Children in Fatal Road Crash

Two children of former Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Baba Tela, have died in a fatal road accident along the Bauchi–Azare highway.

The victims, identified as Mustapha and Ummi, were travelling from Azare, the headquarters of Katagum Local Government Area, to Bauchi on Saturday when the crash occurred.

According to reports, both victims died instantly due to the impact of the accident.

Their bodies were later evacuated to a hospital in Bauchi, where they were officially confirmed dead.

Reacting to the tragedy, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed expressed deep sorrow, describing the incident as a devastating loss to both the Tela family and the people of Bauchi State.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, the governor said.

"I received this heartbreaking news with deep sorrow. The loss of these two young lives in such tragic circumstances is a painful tragedy that has cast a shadow of grief over Bauchi State."

Governor Mohammed prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) grants the deceased eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus and gives Senator Tela, his family, and loved ones the strength and patience to bear the irreparable loss. 

He also wished those injured in the crash a speedy recovery.
