Super Falcons of Nigeria goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has once again been crowned the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year for 2024.

Nnadozie was crowned at the award ceremony in Marrakech Morocco, winning it for the second successive year after her last year victory.

The Paris FC of France goalkeeper beat competitions from fellow goalkeepers, Sanaa Mssoudy of Morocco and Babra Banda of Zambia.

Nnadozie has been consistent with her goalkeeping heroics with the Super Falcons of Nigeria and her club Paris FC.

She dedicated the award to all her coaches and teammates in the national team and he club.

Meanwhile, the Super Falcons of Nigerian has been named as the women national team of the year at this year’s Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards.

The Falcons were crowned at the award ceremony currently holding in Marrakech Morocco.

The Nigerian team won the award ahead of Banyana Banyana of South Africa and Atlas Lionesses of Morocco who were the other teams in contention for the Women’s National Team of the Year.

The President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau, who received the award dedicated it to Nigeria’s First Lady Oluremi Tinubu for her support for the women football.

The Falcons qualified for the Olympics for the first time in 16 years and was one of the two teams that represented Africa at the competition in Paris earlier this year.

The team, however, did not go beyond the group stage after losing all group games, a contrast to their 2023 World Cup performance where it got to the round of 16 with some outstanding results.

In the male category, the Elephants of Ivory Coast beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria to the award of the national team of the year.
