Breaking: Tinubu sacks Service Chiefs, IGP, Controller of Customs, others

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has rppaovedf the immediate retirement of all service chiefs, including the Inspector General of Police, Controller of Customs with immediate effect.

A statement by Willie Bassey, the Director of Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, stated this on Monday.

Kayode Egetokun, a former Chief Security Officer to Tinubu when he served as Lagos State Governor, is the new Acting Inspector General of Police, while Major General C.G. Musa is the new Chief of Defence staff.

Maj. T. A Lagbaja is the new Chief of Army Staff, Rear Admirral E. A Ogalla is the new Chief of Naval Staff, while AVM H.B Abubakar is the new Chief of Air Staff.

Former Chairman of the Economic anf Financial crimes Comission, EFCC, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu who was appointed a Special Adviser to the President on Security is now the Chief Security Adviser while, Maj. Gen. EPA Undiandeye is the new Chief of Defense Intelligence.

The former Nigeria Port Authority boss, Hadiza Bala Usman, who was dismissed from office by the immediate past administration of President Muhamadu Buhari has been appointed as special Adviser, Policy Coordination, while Hannatu Musa Musawa was appointed a Special Adviser, Culture and Entertainment Economy.

Senator Abdullahi Abubakar Gumel has also been appointed as Senior Special Assistant, National Assembly Matters (Senate); while Hon. Olarewaju Kunle Ibrahim was appointed Senior Special Assistant, National Assembly Matters  (House of Representatives).
