The supreme court, Tuesday, affirmed the election of Governor Ademola Adeleke as the governor of Osun state.
A five-member panel of the apex court, while delivering their judgment held that the court of appeal correctly reinstated Adeleke as governor.

Governor Adeleke had described the judgement of the lower court as miscarriage of justice.
Adeleke was however reinstated by the Court of Appeal, saying the allegation of overvoting brought before the tribunal by the All Progressives Congress, APC, and former Governor Gboyega Oyetola was not substantiated.
