Omoyele Sowore, human right activist, who was detained at the Lagos Airport, has been released few hours after his arrest.

Sowore was picked up by the officials of Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, upon his arrival to the country on Sunday, allegedly over a watchlist by the Department of State Services.

"I have just been released. My passport and everything have been released to me," Sowore was quoted by Sahara Reporters as saying.
