Barring the final announcement of result by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has won the governorship election conducted Saturday in Osun State.

From the results updated on the potter of the electoral body, the PDP candidate is leading by 403, 371 votes in the 30 local government results of the State.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC and the sitting Governor, Gboyega Oyetola scored 375,027 votes.

From the result updated, Oyetola, the first cousin of the APC presidential candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will not be returning as the Governor of the State.
