The hosts of fhe 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON is the champion of the tournament after coming from behind to beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the Sunday finals.

The Ivorians saw off the Super Eagles in a very tensed 2-1 victory on Sunday.

Two strikes from Franck Kessie and Sebastien Haller were enough to see off Troost-Ekong's opener in the first half.

The victory is Ivory Coasts' first time in 9 years after edging Ghana 9 - 8 on penalties follwoing a goalless draw in both the regula and extra times.
