Justice James Omotosho of Federal High Court of Abuja has convicted the leader of the Indegenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, in all the seven count charges brought against him by the federal government.
The charges include Terrorism, violence, illegal operation of Radio Biafra, amongst others.
The Judge held that though Kanu has claimed to be a freedom fighter, but has caused more arms than good to the same people he claimed to be fighting for.
Meanwhile, the prosecution has told the court that penalty for counts 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 is death sentence and that the court has no discretion in the instance.
The prosecution also appeal to the Judge to keep Kanu in the safest custodian center anywhere in Nigeria for his safety and security pending the time he judgement is executed.
He further noted that Kuje prison might not be appropriate following recent jail breaks in Kuje in recent times.
