The embattled former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Adoza Bello, has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The former Governor was prevented from being arrested by the current governor of the State, Usman Ododo on Wednesday when he bridged the security siege laid on the former governor at his Abuja residence.

Bello was whisked away by the Governor in his offcial vehilce because of the immunity he (Ododo) enjoys.

He was declared wanted via a public notice placed on the Commission's social media handles.

Bellow was to be arraigned on Thursday by the Commission but his trial was stalled by his absence in court.

He is to be tried on 19 count charges bothering on money laundering to the tune of N80.2b

The Commission has vowed that it will no longer tolerate anyone preventing his operatived from carrying out their lawful duties.

Earlier on Thursday, the Commission said it was considering employing the service of the military to get Yahaya Bello to face trial.

The Federal Government, through the Attorney General of the Federation and Justice Minister, Lateef Fagbemi, has warned that anyone invited by the Commission should toe the path of decency by honouring the invitation.

He described obstructing the Commission from its duty as insufferably disquenting.
