One of the favourites to lift the 2022 World Cup, the Brazil National Team has been knocked out of the world Cup after a penalty shoot out with Croatia in the first game of the Quarter finals.

The match had ended goaless after the regular time of 90mimutes with Nermar scoring for the Selecao in the first half of the extra time.

Bruno Petkovic cancelled the only goal on the 117th minute of the game.

Two Brazilian players; Rodrygo and Marquinhos lost their penalties to hand the Croatia national team a 4 - 2 scoreline at full time.
