A Court of Appeal, Akure Division, sitting in Akure, the Ondo State capital, Thursday, ruled against the appeal of Dr Ramon Adedoyin, the Founder of Oduduwa University, Ile - Ife, Osun State who was sentenced to death by hanging, alongside two others, in May, 2023.
The appelate court dismissed the appeal for lack of merit and upheld the judgement of Justice Oyebola Ojo of Osun State High Court which found Adedoyin and two others guilty of murder.
Adedoyin was arrested in 2021 following the death of Adegoke Timothy, a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, who was killed at Adedoyin's hotel, Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife.
