Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, alongside his former aides, were on Tuesday in Daura, Katsina State to celebrate the 82nd birthday of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Amosun who appeared to have surprised the former president was in Daura with the former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite.

Also in the entourage were a former member of the Federal Inland Revenue Service Board who represented the South West, Adewale Ogunyomade; and Adeleke Adewolu, a former Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Engagement, Nigerian Communications Commission.

While Adegbite served as the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure for eight years under Amosun in Ogun State, both Adewolu and Ogunyomade served as Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter Governmental Affairs; and Special Adviser for Rural Development and Special Adviser Taxation and Revenue, respectively.

In a video shared on social media, Buhari appeared surprised as he approached his living room seeing Amosun and others who welcomed him with ‘Happy Birthday’ song.

A former media aide to the ex-president, Ahmad Bashir, also posted the video.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has also congratulated Buhari on his 82nd birthday, wishing him good health and peace of mind.
