In a press statement issued on Monday by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the Command stated that the suspect has refused to honour police invitation extended to her.

Rather than honour the invitation, the police said, her lawyer wrote to the Command, claiming that she was medically indisposed and attached a medical report purportedly issued by a licensed medical doctor.

The PPRO further revealed that a subsequent discreet investigations by the Police exposed the medical report as false and misleading.

The police said the Doctor who authored the report was arrested and reportedly confessed that the document was fabricated at the instruction of Adetoun Onajobi during a phone conversation facilitated by her lawyer.

Following the confession, the doctor was arraigned before an Ogun State Magistrates’ Court on charges of conspiracy, uttering a false document, and obstructing the course of justice.

The Police revealed that Onajobi was invited for questioning on 2 January 2026 to respond to allegations arising from her online activities.

The Police further disclosed that Adetoun Onajobi has since remained evasive, repeatedly ignoring police invitations, and that her current whereabouts are unknown.

DSP Babaseyi also noted that the Command is trailing other suspects connected to the alleged dissemination of false information and vowed that all lawful means would be deployed to apprehend and produce Adetoun before the court to answer the charges already filed against her.

JustAdetoun, in recent times, according to the statement, used social media and other internet-enabled platforms to publish false accusations against the Ogun State Government and allegedly harass the Governor of the state.
