Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Friday, unveiled the newly remodeled Executive Council Chambers at his Oke-Mosan office, Abeokuta.

According to him, the upgrade was part of his administration’s long-term urban renewal and infrastructure regeneration agenda.

The Governor, in a statement posted on his social media handles explained that the former chambers had deteriorated significantly, prompting the decision to remodel rather than construct an entirely new Governor’s Office.

“We reaffirmed our commitment to delivering infrastructure that will stand the test of time as Chief Olusegun Osoba unveiled the newly remodeled Executive Council Chambers at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta,” the governor wrote.

He said the previous state of the facility was unacceptable, noting that the remodel was intentionally chosen to demonstrate prudence and seriousness in governance.

The governor emphasised that the project forms part of a wider regeneration effort across key urban areas in the state.

“This project is part of our broader regeneration and Urban Renewal Programme, which includes the facelift of major landmarks such as the Ibara GRA,” he said.

He linked the initiative to his administration’s ISEYA development agenda.

“It aligns with our ISEYA pillars, through which we continue to deliver improvements in infrastructure, security, health, education, and housing,” he added.

Abiodun said he appreciated the role of his Executive Council members and paid tribute to former Governor Olusegun Osoba, who commissioned the remodeled chambers.

“We appreciated the contributions of our Executive Council members and paid tribute to Chief Osoba for his leadership and enduring support,” he stated.

He also referenced Osoba’s commendation of ongoing state renewal projects.

“His commendation of the ongoing transformation, including our remodeling of the MKO Abiola Stadium and Cultural Centre, strengthens our resolve to keep rebranding Ogun State into a modern, forward-looking destination,” he said.

Abiodun reiterated that his administration remained focused on creating a conducive environment for economic growth and investor confidence.

“We remain focused on creating an enabling environment that inspires confidence in investors and supports long-term growth.

“With every regeneration project we complete, we move closer to building the Ogun State our people deserve — structured, progressive, and prepared for the future,” Abiodun wrote.
