The Abeokuta North Local Government, under the leadership of its Chairman, Prince Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo, has commissioned a newly completed shopping complex consisting of 200 lock-up shops and open stalls at the popular Lafenwa Market, one of the major commercial hubs in the area.

The project, according to the Chairman, was initiated by the previous administration but completed by his leadership.

Oyegbola-Sodipo said the accomplishment reflects his administration’s commitment to continuity and the steady growth of the local economy.

The commissioning ceremony also had in attendance the Ogun State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, who officially declared the complex open for public use.

He described the initiative as a significant contribution to strengthening commercial activities in the state.

The chairman reaffirmed that his administration will continue to invest in infrastructure that enhances commerce, empowers local traders, and expands economic opportunities across the communities within Abeokuta North.
