Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has revealed that four persons were killed while about sixty cows when missing when gunmen invaded its camp in Ndiukwuenu community Orumba North local government in Anambra.
The Association has however demonstrated the constant molestations and dehumanization of herdsmen in Anambra state.
A statement issued by the Zonal Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Gidado Soddiki, said a group of persons well equipped with guns and matchets allegedly raided a Fulani camp at area killing 4 persons and about 60 cattle were not seen.
He alleged that members of the Association were being innocently killed oftentimes when they do not know the sins committed to deserve the cruelty and callousness meted out on them.
MACBAN therefore noted that as the Association appreciated the government and security agencies, it also implored for quick intervention to stop killing their people.
The MACBAN zonal chairman disclosed that the 4 persons killed were Mohammed Idris, Sale Idris, Abdulmumini Idris and Musa Idris, but according to him, only the corpses of Mohammed Idris and Sale Idris were seen while the other 2 persons were not seen.
The statement reads, "Monday, 30/05/2022 by 7:00pm a group of persons raided Samaila Idris Cattle camp .4 persons were missing and about 60 cattle missing.
“Tuesday 31/05/2022, a rescue taskforce comprising all the security agencies on their rescue mission visited the scene, 2 corpses were recovered, remaining 2 missing up till now. The names of 2 confirm killed are Mohammed Idris and Sale Idris. The missing 2 are Abdulmumini Idris and Musa Idris."
When contacted the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command DSP Ikenga Tochi said the command has not received an official report on the incident.
