The President of Al-Hayat Relief Foundation, Engr Adeko Sikirullahi has said the organisation has remained committed to ethical financial empowerment in the last 28 years of its establishment.

Engr Adeko also said that Al-Hayat has over the years evolved into a beacon of ethical financial empowerment not only to its 25,000 membership across the South West and Kwara, but the society at large.

This was contained a press statement marking the 28th anniversary of the Foundation and made available to the media in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

The President noted that Al-Hayat has remained steadfast in its mission to providing ethical financial solutions and sustainable economic development to the society.

"Over the past 28 years, Al-Hayat has remained steadfast in its mission to provide ethical financial solutions and sustainable economic empowerment to its members."

According to him, the Foundation has successfully expanded its operations beyond cooperative financing, making remarkable strides in key sectors like not-interest banking, real estate, medicals, Hajj and Umrah, amongst others.

"The Foundation has successfully expanded its operations beyond cooperative financing, making remarkable strides in key sectors such as Hayat Trust Non-Interest Microfinance Bank, Real Estate and Property Development, Al-Hayat Medical Centre, Al-Hayat Hajj & Umrah Travels and Tour and Al-Hayat Zakat, Sadaqah and Waqf Foundation."

Speaking on this milestone, the National President of Al-Hayat Relief Foundation expressed gratitude to Allah (SWT) and appreciated the dedication of the Foundation’s members, leadership, and stakeholders who have contributed to its growth and success.

"From a humble beginning, Al-Hayat has evolved into a beacon of ethical financial empowerment, impacting thousands of lives. As we celebrate 28 years of progress, we remain committed to our core values of financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development, all in accordance with Islamic principles."

The Foundation reaffirms its commitment to expanding its impact, strengthening financial sustainability, and uplifting more individuals and businesses through its ethical financial model.

Al-Hayat Relief Foundation, a pioneering Islamic cooperative society was founded on 15th March 1997 with just six visionary members, comprising Prof. Salako Taofiki Ajani, Dr. Azeez Asif Olatubosun, Dr. Adepoju Razak Idowu, (late) Alhaji Alimi Abib, Alhaja Salako Basirat Abiola and Alhaja Azeez Misrafat Omowumi.
